We strive to maintain a constant dedication to sustainability in every aspect of our work, taking into account locality, seasonality and environmental impact when crafting our diverse menus.

Fig and Smoke is also an active member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance, a collective of businesses with the joint purpose of creating a more environmentally conscious wedding industry.

Locality
We pride ourselves on sourcing our produce as locally to us as possible, or from those who champion sustainability and regenerative food production in their own right.

Over 80% of our drinks and food suppliers are now Devon-based and we will forever seek out new, independent relationships with local suppliers to reduce the carbon footprint of food production.

Our team
Our staff regularly get involved with discussions around environmental action, sharing ideas and championing sustainability in areas the feel strongly about. Several of our team members have been accredited on a carbon literacy course, and we strive to provide futher relevant training where possible.

Our clients
We believe it is our duty to empower our couples, providing them with the knowledge to help them make sustainable decisions for their wedding day. This could be as little as explaining which produce is in season and grown locally, or providing them with a list of our trusted, sustainable industry friends.
